Humanistic and Person-Centred

I follow a humanistic approach to counselling and coaching, which allows you as the client to be heard and to grow.

You have the tools to change, we just need to uncover them.

Practising in this person-centred way, enables you to find out about yourself, in the right environment, with respect and regard throughout.

Safe and Ethical

I aim to provide you with a safe, confidential space where you can feel comfortable to start your journey of therapy or coaching.

I am bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and work within this to ensure you are kept safe throughout our work together.

I undertake regular Supervision with a BACP registered Supervisor to ensure my practice is considered and ethical at all times.

Space and Time to Explore

I offer short or long term therapy or  coaching which can be reviewed regularly between us.

The sessions are your time and so we will focus on what is important to you.

will walk alongside you as we go through the process of therapy or coaching and allow you the space to explore yourself and whatever you choose to bring.

Individual and Unique

You are unique and what you bring to therapy or coaching will be individual to you.

There will be a non-judgemental space for you to explore yourself and progress through your journey in the way you choose.

We can look at other techniques to help you express yourself, so you can flourish and grow throughout the process.

Sometimes it's hard to know where to start.

Maybe you have experienced trauma, abuse or loss.  Perhaps coping with an addiction or struggling with a relationship issue or questions around gender and sexuality.

There could be life stresses, anxieties or worries.  Past family issues or current life situations that you just can't figure out for yourself.

You may have lost your way a bit, lost your purpose

or lost what used to drive you.

Sometimes, we struggle to know what it is but we do know it doesn't feel right.  These feelings can consume and overwhelm us and stop us from moving forward.

Whatever you are feeling, having a safe and confidential space to explore, within a non-judgemental relationship, can be the start to living better and looking at the future in a different way.

About Coaching

Perhaps you are looking for help to get you through life's stresses and strains in the 'here and now'.  Maybe you need support and guidance to unravel all the things that are going on at once; we all lead busy lives and the responsibilities and pressures can be overwhelming.

Having someone to coach you through these times can be enlightening and help you to free the burdens that challenge us.

We can look at planning; confidence building; stress-management; improving motivation and building resilience to lighten the load

and live a happier life.

I am a fully qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor

and a registered member of the

British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

I graduated with a Diploma of Higher Education in Humanistic Counselling and obtained a Certificate in Counselling Skills.

I have undertaken Coaching Skills along with various Health & Wellbeing courses.

I undertake Continued Professional Development (CPD) to ensure my knowledge and skills are always up-to-date and undertake monthly Supervision to ensure my Practice is open, ethical and that I continue to learn.

I work as a volunteer for a local Hospice, have fulfilled various roles within the NHS and higher education and so have gained experience of what troubles people can endure and the history or current problems that can stop them from moving forward.
